Official HYROX Training Zone in Brno
Our new Brno-Vídeňská branch is getting a dedicated HYROX zone with official Centr race equipment. You train in the same conditions you'll face on race day – and you can already join HYROX classes at Nové Sady.
Brno-Vídeňská
HYROX isn't just another trend. It's a race that tests your strength, endurance and mindset – which is exactly why it pays to prepare systematically. At our Brno-Vídeňská branch we're building a dedicated HYROX training zone where you'll train on official Centr race equipment. No improvising with substitute gear: the same machines, the same feel and the same pace as on race day.
We're opening the branch soon. But you don't have to wait for HYROX – Hyrox group classes are already running at our Brno-Nové Sady branch. We will publish the Vídeňská class schedule before opening.
What is HYROX
HYROX is a fitness race with a fixed format: you run 1 km eight times, and after each kilometre there's one functional station. The order of the stations is set:
- SkiErg
- Sled Push
- Sled Pull
- Burpee Broad Jumps
- Rowing
- Farmers Carry
- Sandbag Lunges
- Wall Balls
Because the format never changes, you can compare your result from race to race and work on your weak spots with purpose. HYROX suits beginners who want a concrete goal as well as experienced racers chasing a time. There are several categories – individuals at different levels of difficulty, pairs and relay teams – so you can choose your own route to the start line.
What an official HYROX Training Zone means
The Vídeňská zone will be fitted with official Centr x HYROX race equipment. In practice, you won't be trying the sled, the rower or the SkiErg for the first time on race day – you'll know the resistance, the rhythm and the technique in advance. Training gets as close as possible to what awaits you in the race hall.
The Brno-Vídeňská branch holds Official HYROX Training Zone status.
Zone equipment
To prepare for HYROX you mainly need machines and tools for all eight stations – a SkiErg, a rowing machine, a sled for pushing and pulling, kettlebells or dumbbells for the farmers carry, a sandbag and medicine balls for wall balls – plus space for running and transitions between stations.
The HYROX zone has 12 Centr treadmills, 6 Centr rowers and 6 SkiErgs, plus plenty of accessories – sleds, sandbags and more for every race station. Outside the zone, the branch has machines and equipment from Technogym, Panatta, Eleiko and Keiser, a combat zone and a sauna for after your workout.
What HYROX preparation looks like
Good preparation rests on three pillars. The first is running endurance – in the race you cover 8 km in total and start every kilometre on tired legs. The second is strength, without which you won't get through the sled or the sandbag lunges. The third is technique and pacing at the stations and in the transitions, where you can lose or gain the most time.
In practice, that means combining running, strength training and conditioning blocks that simulate race load. A beginner first learns the technique of each station and gradually increases volume. An experienced racer works on pace, transitions and weaker stations. If you don't know where to start, book a personal training session – a coach will assess your current fitness and set up a plan that makes sense.
Winning Fitness monthly memberships are valid at all branches, so you can combine training at Vídeňská with our other branches in Brno.
